Business owner devastated after work van is stolen and burnt out

Burnt out van GK Cleaning Services Banbridge

A Co Armagh business owner has been left devastated after his van was stolen before being burnt to a cinder on Sunday night.

Gerard Kinchin, who owns GK Cleaning Services, has been left reeling – not only from the loss of his van – but for “letting his customers down”, according to his sister.

Deidre McShane shared the image of her brother’s van on social media, blasting those responsible.

“What is wrong with people,” she slammed. “My brother, who I’m so proud of, has worked so hard past few years trying to build up his business to support his family.

“Last night (Sunday) he got a phone call from police to inform him that his van GK Cleaning had been stolen and found burnt out.

“Gerard has a full diary this week of bookings to go and do his days work cleaning carpets, house clearances etc.

“He’s devastated for lost of his van but he’s annoyed at letting down his customers.

“I’ve no doubt he will get new van and start again but we’re all so annoyed for him.”
