St Patrick's Grammar School

An arrest warrant has been issued for a teenager who failed to attend court after he was charged with the burglary of a Co Armagh school.

The district judge issued the warrant for the arrest of the 19-year-old as he needed to be in attendance due to the nature of the charge.

Mantas Petkos, of Ashley Park in Armagh, was due to appear at the city’s Magistrates’ Court, sitting at Newry, on Tuesday facing a single charge of burglary with intent to steal.

None of the facts were opened in court, but the particulars allege that on May 20, of last year, the defendant entered St Patrick’s Grammar School, Armagh, as a trespasser with intent to steal therein.

Noting the non-appearance of the accused, and that he would need to be put on election for a charge of this nature, Deputy District Judge Phlip Mateer issued a warrant for his arrest.
